This facility is for adult inmates.

The Lake County CA Correctional Facility is a medium-security detention center located at 4913 Helbush Drive Lakeport, CA which is operated locally by the Lake County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Lake County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Lakeport Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

Books, Newspapers, Magazines

Books, newspapers or magazines must be mailed directly from the publisher. Only soft cover books are accepted into the facility.

Sending Money

Only cashiers checks or money orders will be accepted for the inmate’s books to be credited. Currency will not be accepted by mail. Money orders must include the sender’s name and address, and be signed by the sender on the front of the money order.

Items Not Permitted

In order to prevent contraband from getting into the facility, mail consisting of, or containing, any of the following will not be accepted. Any mail containing the following will either be returned to sender or placed in the inmate’s property:

• Polaroid photographs;
• Photos larger than 8X10;
• Pornographic material;
• Envelopes, stamps and stickers;
• Writing paper;
• Puzzles;
• Perfume scented letters;
• Letters marked with lipstick;
• Bodily fluids;
• Anything written with a felt marker, glitter pen, or crayon;
• Any other item determined to be contraband by facility staff.

Visiting Hours
All visits are 1/2 (one-half) hour long and start on the hour and half-hour, ending at the posted time. All Visitors are to be in the facility and signed in 15 minutes prior to the time visiting starts. NOTE: Last visit begins one-half hour prior to the last visiting time posted.

Please only bring your ID and a single car key into visiting.
