CDCR – High Rock Conservation (Fire) Camp #32 basic information to help guide you through what you can do for your inmate while they are incarcerated. The facility's direct contact number: 707-946-2362
This facility is for adult inmates.
The inmates housed at High Rock Conservation Camp #32 located at 23322 Ave of the Giants in Weott, CA are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.
Camp History – Established in 1954, High Rock is one of the oldest camps in the state and one of the most beautiful, situated in the heart of Humboldt Redwoods State Park.
Inmate Programs – Community Volunteers Provide G.E.D. and College Course support, Bring Library books and Teach Piano and Guitar classes every Saturday. Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday Nights, We have our Spiritual and Religious Services and Support Groups.
Camp Products – Our in-camp crew has built quite a reputation for the quality of woodworking products they produce. They are responsible for milling and curing redwood lumber before it is assembled into tables, benches, signs, jewelry boxes, etc. One of our most memorable projects was the playhouse we built and painted for CASA to raffle off last year.
