The Dooly County Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 576 Pinehurst-Hawkinsville Rd Pinehurst, GA which is operated locally by the Dooly County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Dooly County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Pinehurst Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

The purpose of the Dooly County Jail is to provide the highest degree of security for the citizens of Dooly County, and safety for both staff and the inmates of the detention system in a professional and cost-efficient manner. The facility staff has the responsibility to provide and operate a facility as efficiently and effectively as possible while performing its mission, and planning creatively today for future criminal justice needs.
