The inmates housed at Maryville Treatment Center located at 30227 US Hwy 136 in Maryville, MO are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). Maryville Treatment Center is a substance abuse state prison treatment facility considered a minimum security institution, and can currently incarcerate about 560 adult male inmates. Maryville is a therapeutic alternative to incarceration in a hard-core prison, putting a strong emphasis on behavioral accountability and completion of the program prior to release. The Center provides long term (twelve months) substance abuse treatment, and short term six-month treatment. While incarcerated here, inmates undergo random and targeted urinalysis drug screenings regularly to ensure compliance.
