The Allegany County NY Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 4884 SR 19 Belmont, NY which is operated locally by the Allegany County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Allegany County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Belmont Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.
All items must be sent through the mail. ALL ITEMS MUST BE BRAND NEW & IN THE UNOPENED ORIGINAL PACKAGE

Bath towel- White only. Must not exceed 30” x 56”.

DVD’s- (approved will become property of the jail. If you choose not to donate them, they will be returned unopened at your expense).

Visiting Hours
Saturday and Sunday only
- 9:30 am to 10:30 am (males)
- 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm (males)
- 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm (females)
- 5:30 to 6:30 pm (males)
- 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm (males)
To schedule a visit: Call 585-268-9428 You must call at least 24hrs in advance of the visitation time Each Inmate shall be entitled to receive a 15 minute, non-contact visit within 24 hours after admission to the facility. After the initial 24 hours visit, inmates need to be classified before they can begin regular weekly visits. The classification process can take 5 to 15 business days. Each inmate will then be entitled to two (2) one hour visits each week. Visiting days are on Saturday and Sunday ONLY.
