This facility is for adult inmates.
The inmates housed at AK DOC – Wildwood Correctional Center (WWCC) located at 10 Chugach Ave in Kenai, AK are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.
AK DOC – Wildwood Correctional Complex (WWCC) – Visitation
Wildwood correctional complex is comprised of three individual facilities; the Wildwood correctional center, the Wildwood Pretrial facility, and the Wildwood Transitional Program. Each of these facilities houses different types of inmates, and has different visiting hours and programs. A little over 450 inmates are housed between the three facilities.
Inmates at Wildwood Correctional Complex can participate in many vocational programs that are used to give inmates real world training and possibly lead to a career once they are released. The facilities have programs based around food handling, industrial and surface mining as well as many computer based programs. An inmate can even earn a Microsoft computer certification.

Visiting Hours for General Population Prisoners
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday — 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM
Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays — 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM
Unless exigent circumstances exist, visits may be for a minimum of one hour. After one hour, visitors may be asked to leave in order to allow room for more visitors. If a visit is not allowed or terminated due to lack of space, the visitor may return after one hour in order to begin another visiting period. It is necessary to limit visitor admittance to this facility to once per day. The only exception to this is when a visitor is asked to leave after a one hour visit due to other visitors waiting their turn, in which case the exiting visitor will be allowed to return after one hour and when space becomes available. No more than three people may visit an inmate at any one time (exceptions to this may be authorized by the Shift Supervisor).
Visitors may not bring in items for use during the visit; cards and table games are available for use in the visiting room. Visitors and prisoners may not exchange any object, however, at the discretion of the Shift Supervisor, non-Polaroid photographs may be taken into the visiting room for viewing by the inmate. The visitor must take all photos with him or her at the conclusion of the visit.
