Programming includes carefully selected therapeutic services and targeted interventions such as individual self-help groups and group counseling. ATEF provides services seven days a week offering structure and flexibility to meet participant risks and needs and agency goals.

SERVICE: Programs and services currently offered at the Alabama Therapeutic Education Facility include, cognitive behavioral therapy, substance abuse programming, educational services, life skills, relapse prevention, cultural diversity programs, family services programs, workforce development activities, work release services, community volunteer service, faith-based services, and alumni and aftercare programs.
