The Arenac County Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 126 Grove St Standish, MI which is operated locally by the Arenac County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Arenac County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Standish Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.
The Jail has a rated capacity of 46 beds and is located in Standish. The Correctional Officers strive daily to maintain a clean and safe jail for those inmates housed within its walls. The Jail routinely receives 100 percent compliance ratings from the Michigan Department of Corrections, who inspects the jail yearly.
