This facility is for adult inmates.

The inmates housed at ADC-Wrightsville located at 8400 Hwy 386 in Wrightville, AR are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.

The Wrightsville Unit is a state prison facility that houses up to 950 medium to minimum security inmates by the Arkansas Department of Corrections located in Pulaski County. Inmates here have access to educational programs such as earning their GED, and substance abuse treatment. They can also work with animals from horses to dogs. Agricultural and regional maintenance work opportunities exist for inmates incarcerated here. This facility even has a program where inmates can learn Braille and prepare for their eventual release.

Wrightsville focuses on rehabilitative services by aiding in workforce preparation, substance abuse recovery, and other aspects of re-entry into society for as many as 850 male and female inmates. A 212-inmate capacity boot camp program is also administered at the site for first-time non-violent inmates, along with a 50-inmate capacity female work release program, operated by the ADC since 1990.

Inmate Telephone – Inmates are provided with coinless telephones during set hours of use. Inmates can only make collect calls to pre-approved numbers. Inmates cannot have cellular phones or calling cards. Inmates can lose their telephone privileges for disciplinary reasons. Each unit has its own telephone policy, so please check with the particular unit for specific hours of use. Boot Camp inmates may write and receive letters only. They have access to telephones only in emergency situations or to notify family or friends prior to graduation from the Boot Camp.

Tobacco Policy – Inmates are not allowed to have any kind of tobacco. This policy prohibits inmates from possessing “any smoking or smokeless tobacco product.” If an inmate does have tobacco, it is considered contraband and the inmate will be disciplined. Visitors and employees must leave all tobacco products in their vehicle. Bringing tobacco products into a facility will result in loss of visitation privileges.

Synthetic Drugs – Synthetic drugs are known by numerous names (Spice, bath salts, K2, and Molly to name a few), and are legally sold in the community as incense or other products "not meant for human consumption" but have an alternate use to produce a high similar to that felt when using marijuana, amphetamines or LSD. The problem is that each batch of these drugs contains different chemicals meaning each batch can produce different effects some of which can be life-threatening.

No cellphones, you will be searched before visiting. NO personal belongings. Persons under probation, parole, or other community corrections supervision must obtain the permission of both their individual supervising officer and the superintendent prior to a visit. Such visitation is not normally approved. 

If the visitor is under the age of 18 and is a family member of the inmate, they must be accompanied by an adult family member or guardian to include a member of the inmate's extended family. If the visitor is under the age of 18 and is not a family member of the inmate, the minor visitor must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
