If you need information about a detainee that is housed at this facility, you may call (404) 893-1210 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. When you call, please have the individual’s biographical information ready, including first, last and hyphenated names, any aliases he or she may use, date of birth and country of birth.
Detainees cannot receive incoming calls. If you need to get in touch with a detainee to leave an urgent message, you must call (404) 865-8099 and leave the detainee’s full name, alien registration number and your name and telephone number where you can be reached. The detainee will be given your message.

The City of Atlanta's Department of Corrections is not allowed to provide any information regarding any Federal inmates who may or may not be housed at the Federal Annex.
1. All deposits to inmate accounts can be made through the kiosks machine (ACCESS SECURED DEPOSITS) in the front lobby. A maximum of $300.00 can be deposited every two weeks plus a $3.00 surcharge.
2. Internet Deposits (www.inmatedeposits.com) plus a $2.95 surcharge.
3. To ensure the proper credit to an inmate’s account you must provide the correct full name and the inmate’s personal ID number. This information may be obtained at the lobby control desk.
4. Any inquiry concerning a deposit should be addressed at the lobby control desk for referral to the Inmate Account/Commissary Section. (The Inmate Accounts/Commissary Section operates Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).
The property may be posted as security for more than one bond on the same or different defendants, if the net market value after each prior bond is still sufficient. Each time the property is secured against a bond, a new lien is attached to the property in the amount of that bond.

Atlanta City Detention Center (ICE) – Visitation
Wednesdays and Sundays: 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
To ensure adequate time to process visitors through security, all visitors must arrive 45 minutes prior to the scheduled visit time.
• The inmate must be incarcerated for at least 48 hours before he/she is eligible for visitation.
• The inmate must not be scheduled for court or awaiting transfer to another jurisdiction.
• Visitation is scheduled on Wednesday and Sundays. The first session of visitation is 8:30am – 11:00am and the second session is 1:00pm – 9:00pm. There is no movement during shift change and the facility count between shifts.
• The inmate must place the visitor(s) name and time of visit on the visitor’s registry in his/her assigned housing pod. The list must be completed a day before the scheduled visit day. The inmate is responsible for notifying all visitors of reserved times by contacting the individual by phone.
Adult visitors must present a valid, verifiable government-issued identification card to enter the facility.
Minors who are visiting the facility must be accompanied by an adult guardian (18 years or older). Minors must not be left unaccompanied in the waiting room, visiting room or any other area.
Attorney Visits
Legal representatives of detainees are authorized to visit their clients during the following hours:
Attorneys and/or paralegals may visit detainees seven days a week from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., including holidays.
A list of pro bono (free) legal organizations will be posted in all detainee housing units and other appropriate areas. This list shall be updated quarterly. If a detainee wishes to see a representative or paralegal from that organization, it is the detainee’s responsibility to contact them for an appointment..
Consular Visits
Consular officials may meet with their detained nationals at any time. It is requested that prior arrangements be made with the ICE Supervisory Deportation Officer to the extent possible, and that consular officials bring appropriate credentials when they come to the facility. Clergy Visits
Clergy may visit detainees at any time, but must make prior arrangements with the Chaplain’s Office.
Visiting Restrictions
- All family or other social visits are Non-contact.
- No firearms or weapons of any kind are permitted in the facility.
- If visitors are or appear to be intoxicated, visitation will not be allowed.
- All visitors are subject to search while in the facility.
- Visitors are not allowed to pass or attempt to pass any items to detainees.
- Visitors are not allowed to carry any items into the visitation area.
Search Procedures (prior to or during all visitations)
All individuals requesting admittance to the facility or the visitation area are subject to a pat-down search of their person, an inspection of their belongings, and a metal scan search. Individuals refusing to cooperate with a reasonable search will not be admitted. No firearms or weapons of any kind are permitted. No electronic devices (cell phones, pagers, radios, etc.) are permitted in the secure areas of this facility.
