The Bottineau County Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 314 5th St W Bottineau, ND which is operated locally by the Bottineau County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Bottineau County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Bottineau Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.
The Bottineau Sheriff’s Office operates a new state-of-the-art 26-bed Correctional Center housing both sentenced and pre-sentenced inmates for Bottineau and neighboring counties.
Inmate Commissary
- The new correctional center does not allow for commissary or personal items to be brought into the facility.
- The facility utilizes TurnKey Corrections and Inmate Canteen where inmates may purchase select personal items, commissary, phone cards, and conduct video visitation.
- A kiosk is available in the Sheriff's Office Lobby to visit and add money to an inmates account. Adding money can also be done via the inmatecanteen.com
