The Bradley County TN Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 2290 Blythe Ave SE Cleveland, TN which is operated locally by the Bradley County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Bradley County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Cleveland Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.
MAIL – Inmates are encouraged to send and receive mail during their period of incarceration. All incoming mail is searched for contraband. ANY MAIL CONTAINING ILLEGAL MATERIAL WILL NOT BE DELIVERED TO THE INMATE. THE JAIL DOES NOT ACCEPT MAIL WITH POSTAGE DUE
The policy for incoming mail addressed to inmates changed this year and is limited to postcards only with one exception. Inmate mail will only be accepted in the form of postcards, with maximum dimensions of 5-1/2 tall x 8-1/2 inches wide. All postcards must include the inmate’s name, sender’s name, and return address. Postcards that have items pasted or attached, and/or have been altered in any form will be rejected and returned to sender. The only exception to the postcard procedure for personal inmate mail will be standard size envelopes containing, appropriate personal photographs, with maximum dimensions of 4-1/8 tall x 9-1/2 wide postmarked during the first 14 days of incarceration. Envelopes that have items pasted or attached, or containing additional items of ANY KIND, will be rejected and returned to the sender.
INMATE’S LEGAL MAIL WILL NOT BE AFFECTED BY THIS CHANGE. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS

The Bradley County jail will not accept property or food items for an inmate from outside the facility. No televisions are allowed in the jail. All property must be purchased through the jail commissary.

FOOD SERVICE
Trinity Food Service, a service that is contracted to a private vendor, prepares three meals daily for inmates.
INMATE’S COMMISSARY
PROPERTY OR FOOD ITEMS OUTSIDE THE FACILITY FOR AN INMATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED INSIDE THE FACILITY WHICH INCLUDES TELEVISIONS. ITEMS MUST BE PURCHASED THROUGH THE JAIL COMMISSARY
Money in the possession of a person at the time of arrest will be credited to that individuals’ account. These funds may then be used to purchase various items from the menu of the inmate’s Commissary.
Accounts are initially debited for an inmate admittance pack, costing $5.00. The packet consists of detergent, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste and soap.
Inmates may order hygiene items, over the counter medications, clothing items, candy, soft drinks, snacks, and miscellaneous items through the commissary. The cost of each item is listed on the menu. Indigent inmates may also order from the commissary.
Additionally, family members may register online and purchase selective group packages called “My Care Pack” from MyCarePack.com.
My Care Pack is the Only Approved Vendor that is allowed to send Commissary Items to the facility.

ADDING FUNDS:
Money orders are no longer accepted for an inmate’s commissary funds, which took effect on March 1, 2013.
The booking office staff will return any balance in the inmate’s account at the time of release from the Bradley County Correctional Facility.
COURT INFORMATION
If you need to check to see if a friend or relative is in the Bradley County jail you may do so by calling the booking office at 728-7366.
The jail staff does NOT provide information about the outcome of an inmate’s court hearing. To obtain that information you must contact the Clerk of the Court inside the jurisdiction that has the pending charge(s) against the inmate.
The two courts held at the Judicial Center are Bradley County General Sessions Court (728-7049) and Bradley County Criminal Court (728-7056).

Bradley County Correctional Facility – Visitation
All inmate visitations at the Bradley County Correctional Facility are by electronic means only. The visitation area is located on the backside of the Bradley County Judicial Complex. 423.728.7379
ON-SITE VISITATION
Visitations that occur On-Site are no longer scheduled by Correctional staff.
On-Site Visitation scheduling is available to the visitor by accessing the SECURUS website.
This will allow visitors to choose from times available. On-site visitations are limited to an hour per week for an inmate.
VISITOR WARNING – INAPPROPRIATE OR PROHIBITED BEHAVIOR DURING AN INMATE VISIT WILL RESULT IN THE TERMINATION OF YOUR PRIVILEGE TO VISIT AN INMATE INSIDE THE FACILITY

All Attorney/Inmate Visit requests should be emailed to Administrative Assistant Missy Harrison. Written correspondence is required and should be sent to mharrison@bradleycountytn.gov.
In order to maintain efficiency for all involved, it is imperative that you indicate the name of the inmate(s) that you will be counseling in addition to the date and time you’re requesting the visit to occur. Failure to provide this information often results in conflicts with effectively securing a time slot for the requested day. Each visit will be allocated (30) minutes. A confirmation email will be sent to verify the requested time is available. If the requested time slot isn’t available, the reply email will display times that are available on the date originally requested.
It is the desire of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office to provide the most efficient and effective service. In order to make this possible, a minimum of a (24) hour notice is required to schedule a visit. It is understood that circumstances can occur, creating the need for last-minute scheduling, and we will be glad to assist you to the best of our ability. However, please adhere to these guidelines unless there is an exigent circumstance.
