The Carl F. Bryan II Regional Juvenile Hall is a medium to low-security detention center located at 5434 State Hwy 49 Nevada City, CA that is operated locally by the Juvenile Justice Department and holds youths awaiting the determination of punishment for the crimes which they are accused. Most of the adolescents are here for less than two years.
Service Description
Operation of the Juvenile Hall is under the management of the Chief Probation Officer as mandated by provisions of Section 852 of the Welfare and Institutions Code. The function of the Juvenile Hall is to provide a safe and secure environment for the protection of the public and minors and staff that come within the Juvenile Hall's jurisdiction. The Juvenile Hall is to provide space, programming and casework services to meet the physical, emotional and educational needs of the minors housed within the facility in order to rehabilitate delinquent youth.
School Information
The Nevada County Superintendent of Schools Office runs the Sugar Loaf Mountain Juvenile School that your child will attend while in custody. They can be reached at 530-272-5464.

Female Wards: Saturday 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; Tuesday 7 p.m.to 8 p.m.
Male Wards:
A through M: Thursday 7 to 8 p.m.; Sunday 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
N through Z: Thursday 8:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.; Sunday 10:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Transitional Age Youth (T.A.Y.): Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
Saturday 8:00a.m. to 9:00a.m.
