The Cedar County MO Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 202 S High St Stockton, MO which is operated locally by the Cedar County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Cedar County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Stockton Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.
The Cedar County Law Enforcement Center which houses both the Cedar County Sheriff Office and the Jail which houses up to sixty inmates.

- Phone, video, and text time may be purchased by the detainee through in house commissary
- Inmates and or family can order clothing items, food and hygiene product from Keefe Company (SecurePak)
- Inmates may be brought Bibles.
- Any money left for inmates to be placed on their account is subject to fee’s being forfeited towards their housing bill.
Cedar County Jail is a TOBACCO FREE facility. Absolutely NO chewing tobacco, cigarettes, rolling papers, loose-leaf tobacco of any kind is allowed.

Cedar County Jail – Visitation
Specific rules apply to those who are detained and to visitors, friends, and family.
- Visitation hours are normal business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
- Lobby visits are to be scheduled prior to visit by the inmate.
- Inmates are allowed only one (1) courtesy visit every seven (7) days.
- All visitors MUST have valid I.D., children MUST have adult supervision.
- No person is permitted to visit if previously detained within the past six (6) months.
- Each lobby visit is limited to thirteen (13) minutes.
The chief operating officer of a county jail or other county correctional facility or the administrator of a private jail, may deny visitation privileges to or refer to the county prosecuting attorney for prosecution of any person who knowingly delivers, attempts to deliver, has in such person’s possession, deposits or conceals on or about the premises of such jail or facility any personal item of personal items allowed in the jail or facility, shall be prominently posted for viewing both inside or outside such jail or facility in an area accessible to any visitor and shall be made available to any person requesting such rule or regulation. Violation of this subsection shall be an infraction if not covered by other statutes.
