The Clark County KS Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 221 West 9th Ave Ashland, KS which is operated locally by the Clark County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Clark County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Ashland Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.
The Clark County Sheriff's Office houses the Clark County Jail, which is a secure facility that can house up to 8 inmates (men and women) and was recently updated in late 2012. The jail is operated by both the dispatchers and the deputies of Clark County. These employees monitor the inmates and also provide the necessary daily care of any inmate that is housed at the Clark County Jail.
