The Cleburne County AR Detention Center is a medium-security detention center located at 914 S 9th St Heber Springs, AR which is operated locally by the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. MAIL – Inmates receive their mail daily. All inmate mail going out and coming into the Detention Center is checked for contraband. Legal mail is the only exception.

MEDICAL – Inmates may request to see the nurse once a week by filling out a request stating the reason for medical attention. The nurse is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies.
If an inmate is on medication they should bring their medicine with them or have a family member bring it to the Detention Center in the original bottle with a non-expired prescription. Medicine is dispensed as ordered by the nurse and/or the inmates’ doctor.
Inmates are required to co-pay for their doctor, nurse and dentist visits. They are also required to pay for their medication and prescriptions.

WORK RELEASE – Some inmates are allowed to do work for the City of Heber Springs and Cleburne County to help pay their fines and court costs. These inmates are used to collect trash along the roads in Cleburne County.
