This facility is for adult inmates.
The inmates housed at Fremont Correctional located at 600 Evans Rd in Canon City, CO are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.
Fremont Correctional Facility is a level III state prison housing about 1,600 adult male inmates of mixed custody levels. The facility is the institution that sex offenders are often sent to because if offers a treatment program for all phases of the inmate's treatment. The facility also offers substance abuse treatments for offenders. Inmates housed at this facility can participate in a variety of programs that include welding, woodworking, renewable energies, custodial and customer service training. Inmates can also work within the institution through the correctional industries which offer jobs within the furniture production, metal and fiberglass manufacturing, as well as sewing.

Visiting Hours:
- Friday 12 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
- Saturday 9 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
- Sunday 9 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Visiting Notes:
Visits must be scheduled the week of the desired visit by calling or emailing. Email must be received from a personal email account ~ not a public account (ie. Public Library) as they cannot be responded to. Reservations will be accepted Monday 8:30 a.m. through NO LATER THAN 9:00 a.m. Thursday. Appointments will be prioritized by when they are received. Visitors are allowed to visit on Friday/Saturday or Friday/Sunday. Visiting is not allowed on Saturday/Sunday.
Visitor processing will take place from 7 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. on visiting days at the East Canon Complex Visiting Center.
Transportation to FCF will be provided at East Canon Complex Visiting Center. Departures times are as follows:
- 8:50 AM
- 9:30 AM
- 11:50 AM
- 1:45 PM
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled bus departure for processing.
Offenders are allowed to receive 3 adults and up to 4 children during visits.
