This facility is for adult inmates.

The inmates housed at Limon Correctional located at 49030 Colorado 71 S in Limon, CO are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.

Limon Correctional Facility is a mixed custody state facility that houses over 900 adult male inmates. This facility utilizes an incentive program that encourages inmates to exhibit positive and constructive behaviour. This facility also encourages inmates to take part in the adult basic education and GED courses offered. When inmates receive a higher education they are much more likely to successfully obtain a job after their release. Vocational programs offered at this institution include construction skills, custodial training, flagging, and more. Inmates who are nearing their release date can participate in a pre-release program that will prepare the inmate.

Visiting Hours:
Friday    10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Saturday    10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Sunday    10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
 
Visiting Notes:
All visiting with offenders housed at LCF must be scheduled by 2:30 p.m. on the Thursday prior to the upcoming weekend.
Visits can be arranged by contacting the email or phone number above.
Scheduling is done on a week-by-week basis. No visitation can be scheduled prior to the current weekend.
Offenders may have the same visitor on Friday/Saturday or Friday/Sunday. No visits can occur on Saturday/Sunday.
Processing for visitors will begin 30 minutes prior to visiting and conclude at 1 p.m. each day.
Barn-A-Bus departs Denver the third Sunday of every month to LCF. You must be approved and scheduled with LCF visit. Schedule a ride by contacting (303) 300-3670.

Offenders assigned to maximum security status and other offenders designated by the Administrative Head, may be approved for only non-contact visits.
Under special circumstances a non-contact visit may be approved to enable a visit by a visitor otherwise unapprovable for regular visits.
Non-contact visits may also be considered when the visitor cannot be cleared through search procedures because of metallic braces or medical inserts into the body.
Non-contact visits may be considered for offenders being monitored for suicidal behavior.
Any offender approved for non-contact visits only may be allowed contact visits in a special room with an attorney and/or authorized agents of an attorney, if requested by the attorney and/or authorized agents of an attorney, with the Administrative Head's approval.
