Cook County GA Jail basic information to help guide you through what you can do for your inmate while they are incarcerated. The facility's direct contact number: 229-896-7471

This facility is for adult inmates.

The Cook County GA Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 1000 County Farm Road Adel, GA which is operated locally by the Cook County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Cook County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Adel Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

The Cook County Jail was built and opened for operation in 2002. Currently, the Jail houses a daily average of 114 inmates and processes an average of 1,800 inmates per year. We house for the Adel Police Department, Sparks Police Department, Lenox Police Department, Hahira Police Department, other Counties and Federal Agencies as needed. In addition to juvenile offenders who are temporarily housed up to (8) hours segregated from adult inmates and inmates, both male and female, who are held on local arrest charges, the Jail houses inmates who are awaiting court dates for pre-trial hearings, sentencing hearings and violation of probation hearings.

The Cook County Jail also contracts their Health Care and Food Services with accredited companies that each are staffed with two personnel.

At the Cook County Jail, we believe in the importance of teamwork and the value of safe and secure jail for staff and inmates.
