The Decatur County TN Detention Center is a medium-security detention center located at 138 E Main St Decaturville, TN which is operated locally by the Decatur County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Decatur County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Decaturville Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.
Decatur County Detention Center is a medium security facility that houses the Sheriff's department, arraignment courtroom and detention areas. This facility can house 60 inmates with an additional 16 in temporary holding areas. Separate male and female pods with their own secure outdoor exercise yards are monitored by a central control room with 24 hour manned surveillance. Inmate housing ranges from one-man cells to twelve-man dorms. Visitation areas are located in the public entrance to the jail.
