The FCI-Forrest-City is a federal prison located at 1400 Dale Buumpers Rd in Forrest City, AR. This federal low security prison is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) to hold inmates who have been convicted to and sentenced for a federal crime through the US Department of Justice (DOJ).

The Federal Correctional Institution, Forrest City (FCI Forrest City) is a low custody United States federal prison for male inmates in Arkansas. It is part of the Forrest City Federal Correctional Complex (FCC Forrest City) and is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the United States Department of Justice. FCC Forrest City is located in eastern Arkansas, 85 miles east of Little Rock and 45 miles west of Memphis, TN.
Some notable inmates have been Clifford Harris, America hip hop recording artist known as T.I. pleaded guilty to federal weapons charges in 2008 and returned t prison for probation violations. Beaudouin Ketant was a Haitian drug kingpin and former ally of ex-Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide; convicted in 2004 of directing the shipment of over 30 tons of Colombian cocaine into the US through Haiti; Armando Villalobos the disgraced former District Attorney for Cameron County Texas; convicted in 2014 for his role in a large south Texas extortion and bribery scheme from 2006 to 2012. Villalobos was convicted of accepting bribes and kickbacks in exchange for favorable prosecutorial judgment, reduced criminal charges, case dismissals, pretrial diversion agreements, and probationary matters.
FCI Forrest City opened in April 1997. Inmates are housed in dormitories with cubicles. Educational opportunities include GED, ESL, continuing education and parenting courses. Career counseling and vocational training are also available, as well as a drug treatment program. A federal industries program, known as UNICOR, employs 300 inmates and produces a furniture line called "Harmony." All inmates at FCI Forrest City are required to perform a job assignment, including cleaning services, clerical duties, masonry, plumbing, painting, landscaping, and welding.
Housing: Inmates are housed in cells.
Health Services: Sick call, medical and dental emergency care, medications, periodic examinations, optometry, and eyeglasses are available at FCI Forrest City Low. All inmates receive a physical examination within their first 14 days of arriving at the facility. Routine health care is available through the submission of triage forms. Emergency medical care is available 24 hours a day by contacting any member of the prison’s staff.
Psychology Services: Psychology staff offers comprehensive individual and group therapy programs. These programs address the full range of clinical disorders, provide self-help options, assess and treat behavioral and emotional problems, and facilitate overall adjustment. Regular groups include criminal thinking, anger management, and others. Crisis intervention is available 24 hours, seven days a week by approaching any staff member and requesting Psychology Services to be contacted.
Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP): FCI Forrest City Medium houses a Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP). The facility also provides a Drug Abuse Education Course, the Non-Residential Drug Abuse Program (NR-DAP), Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), and Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
Education Services: FCI Forrest Medium provides literacy, GED, and English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) programs. Instructors use the Adult Basic Learning Exam (ABLE), Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE), and the Spanish Assessment of Basic Education (SABE) tests to determine each inmate’s academic abilities. Adult Continuing Education (ACE) and parenting classes are also available to the inmate population. High school diplomas and post-secondary programs are available through paid correspondence programs.
Advanced Occupational Education: FCI Forrest City Medium offers advanced occupational education in Building Trades, Diesel Technology, and Office Technology.
Vocational Training: FCI Forrest City Medium does not offer any vocational training aside from its advanced occupational education programs.
Apprenticeship: FCI Forrest City Medium does not offer any apprenticeships.
Library Services: The leisure library contains a broad selection of fiction and nonfiction books, magazines, and newspapers, which inmates can check out. The law library contains a variety of legal reference materials for use in preparing legal papers. Reference materials include the United States Code Annotated, Federal Reporter, Supreme Court Reporter, Bureau of Prisons program statements, institution supplements, Code of Federal Regulations, federal case law, and other legal materials. The law library is located in the Education Department.
UNICOR: The FCI Forrest City Medium UNICOR facility produces office furniture.
Commissary: Inmates at FCI Forrest City Medium are allowed to shop once per week on their designated shopping day. A $360.00 monthly spending limit is imposed. Inmates can purchase a wide variety of items. Items include ice cream, sodas, food, candy, and various snacks. Clothing, shoes, and electronics can also be purchased.
Recreation Services: FCI Forrest City Medium offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. A leisure center offers music rooms, TV (sports or news only), patio area, billiard table, football, ping-pong, table games and multi-purpose rooms, a hobby craft area, a fitness area, and gym. A recreation yard offers a variety of outdoor activities, programs and classes, step aerobics, exercise classes, and spinning and circuit training on fitness equipment. Intramural and individual sports are also available to the general population.
