The Federal Correctional Institution, Sheridan (FCI Sheridan) is a medium-security United States federal prison for male inmates in Oregon. Opened in 1989, it is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the United States Department of Justice. Background: FCI Sheridan houses approximately 1900 total inmates. This includes the main medium security detention facility and a smaller minimum security prison camp. Inmates at the minimum-security camp can study to work as landscape gardeners and personal fitness trainers after their release from prison. This is the only federal prison in Oregon.
