The Franklin County IA Law Enforcement Center is a medium-security detention center located at 105 5th St SW Hampton, IA which is operated locally by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Franklin County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Hampton Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

When you contact one of these facilities, advise them that you are a Franklin County Prisoner and you need to arrange jail time. Once your time is set up, call the Franklin County Sheriff's Office at 641-456-2731 to inform them where you will be serving your time. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office will then send your paperwork to that facility.
