This facility is for adult inmates.

The inmates housed at West Central Pre-Release located at 1070 Co Farm Rd in Zebulon, GA are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.

MISSION – This center was originally built to be a male Probation Detention Center. It was remissioned in 1996 as a male medium security prison. It was remissioned in 2002 as a female Probation Detention Center. It was again remissioned in 2008 as a female Pre Release Center. In July, 2012 the current mission began as an integrated treatment facility for female probation violators with co-occurring conditions (138 beds) who receive mental health and substance abuse treatment as well as female inmates (46 beds) who support the work mission of the facility.

HOUSING – Four open dormitories with bunk beds, housing 46 in each dorm. There are also have five isolation/segregation cells.

WORK DETAILS – There are three details assigned to State Offices Tift Campus, one to Offender Administration Unit, details to cities of Zebulon, Concord and Molena.
