Programming in Detention
The goal of detention programming is to increase the youth’s abilities of making pro-social decisions. The programming we offer is aimed at teaching the youth how to think, rather than what to think. We strive to provide the youth the skills necessary to be aware of positive and negative consequences to each choice they make. We encourage the youth to practice these pro-social skills while in the facility so they are better prepared to utilize them once they return to the community.
