This facility is for adult inmates.

The Grundy County IL Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 111 E. Washington St Morris, IL which is operated locally by the Grundy County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Grundy County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Morris Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

The Grundy County Jail provides for the custody of individuals awaiting trial, serving sentences up to (1) year or those sentenced to periodic imprisonment. Capacity for the Jail is (65) inmates. Inmate Visitation Schedule
MALES:
7:00-9:00 P.M. WEDNESDAYS
1:00-3:00 P.M. SUNDAYS
FEMALES:
9:00-10:00 P.M. WEDNESDAYS
3:00-4:00 P.M. SUNDAYS

Visiting Rules:
NO MORE THAN 2 VISITORS at a time per inmate and one visit per visiting day unless approved in advance by the Sheriff and/or the Jail Superintendent.
All visitors MUST SHOW a state issued Photo ID or Passport to visit.
No one under the age of 17 will be allowed to visit without being accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Visits are 15 minutes.
All visitors must sign in with a Correctional Officer. All visitors are subject to search at any time.
No Cell Phones are allowed in the visitation room.
No food, drinks or smoking is allowed in the visitation room.
