The Hardin County TX Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 300 W Monroe St Kountze, TX which is operated locally by the Hardin County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Hardin County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Kountze Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

Hardin County TX Jail – Visitation

Call the jail visitation reservation desk at 409-246-5249 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on any day except Thursdays. You must provide a valid State-issued ID upon visitation.  

Visitors must be dressed appropriately wearing no provocative attire. All children must be accompanied by an adult and never left unattended.  

A former Hardin County Jail inmate must wait 30 days after release before being allowed to visit a current inmate.
