The Hendry County Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 101 South Bridge St
PO Box 579 Labelle, FL which is operated locally by the Hendry County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Hendry County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Labelle Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.
Mail is delivered Monday through Friday except for legal holidays, inmates are allowed to receive regular sized letters and are allowed to receive pictures, however no envelopes or stamps may be mailed to the inmate they must be purchased from the commissary. Inmates may not receive packages except for legal material. Express mail requiring signatures will not be accepted. There is no limit to the amount of mail an inmate can receive however; any excessive letters or pictures may be placed in the inmate’s property. All mail incoming and outgoing is inspected for contraband and security issues. Incoming mail is generally delivered to the inmate the same day that the jail receives it. Incoming mail will be delivered to the inmate providing they are free from articles, words, drawings, pictures, or suggestions of hatred, violence, frontal nudity, jail safety and security compromises, or other issues which may jeopardize the legitimate penological interest of the jail facility. All correspondence must be clearly addressed, must have a return address, no gang codes or markings will be accepted; incoming correspondence will be returned to sender, outgoing correspondence will be returned to the inmate, no drugs or other contraband may be enclosed in the mail, no obscene, provocative or suggestive pictures will be accepted, writing or pictures that tend to incite violence, riot, racism or threaten the security of the facility will not be accepted.
Contraband includes but is not limited to:
Polaroid pictures with backing;
Stationary, envelopes, or greeting cards;
Pamphlets, paper clips, wire, staples, spiral bindings, pens or pencils;
Food items, lottery tickets, musical items, balloons, jewelry, etc.
Personal ID cards;
Heavy crayon, ink drawings, glitter, foil, cloth or clothing material or leather;
String, buttons, bows, ribbons and any similar items;
Currency, money orders, or checks addressed to the inmate;
Any other items determined to be inappropriate or unacceptable for safety or
Security reasons.
Books:
Books must be mailed by the publishing company and must be paperback. Books that are pornographic or pose a threat to the security and safety of the jail will not be accepted.
Photographs:
A maximum of five (5) photographs may be mailed to the inmate at a time. Photographs must adhere to the guidelines listed below which include but are not limited to:
No Polaroid photographs
No photos larger than 4×6
No photos or pictures that are pornographic, nude, suggestive, showing gangs, gang tattoos, or hand gestures (signs) are allowed.
Money orders can be mailed to the Hendry county jail made out to the jail with the inmate’s name at the bottom. Money can also be added using cash or a credit card by using the kiosk in the lobby of the jail in LaBelle and in the lobby of the substation in Clewiston. Money can also be added by credit card by calling Telmate at 1-866-516-0115 or by going on line to www.gettingout.com .
Commissary:
Commissary is ordered by the inmate on Monday’s and Thursday’s and it is delivered on Tuesday’s and Friday’s.
Emergency medical and dental care is available seven days a week. Non-emergency health care is available by request. Medical services are contracted in house and off site to help fulfill each inmate’s medical need.
Inmate religious services coordinate with several different churches in the LaBelle and Fort Myers areas. There are a variety of services for both men and women and English and Spanish speaking inmates. All of our volunteers are approved by the jail chaplain and the administration. Services are held almost every day of the week at several different times a day in order to give all inmates who wish to be a part of religious services and chance to participate.

Hendry County Jail – Visitation
Visitation is Monday thru Friday from 5pm to 9:30pm.
Visitation is conducted via video link from either the visitation center which is located across the street from the jail in LaBelle or if the visitor has a webcam they can visit from their home. Inmates may have 4 free 30 minute visits Monday thru Thursday. Visits on Fridays will be charged at a rate of $7.50 + service charge per 30 minute visit. No more than one free visit per day. You must register online at telmate.com, or at one of the kiosk's which are located in the lobby's of the visitation center, or either Sheriff’s Office; once you have registered you will be allowed to schedule a visit.

VISITORS – Please note: In order for you to participate in visitation, the Visitation Requirements listed below must be followed.

- Visitors must be here at least 30 minutes prior to visitation to sign in.
- Visitors must be on inmate’s visitation list.
Only the inmate can place you on their visitation list. Adding or deleting names to the inmate's visitation list is done on the first of each month.

- Visitors must have picture I.D. that contains current address & Date of Birth
This includes all state D.L. & I.D. cards. We will also accept military and school I.D.s. This does not include picture credit cards, wholesale clubs, and etc.
- Juveniles (12-17) must have proof of age (birth certificate) and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- Visitors must have picture I.D. that contains current address & Date of Birth
Both the adult & juvenile must be on the visitation list.
***NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 12 IS PERMITTED FOR ANY REASON***

You will not be permitted to visit if you have these things on your person. - Visitation clothing must not be revealing in any way.

Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be at least knee length.
All shirts (blouses) must have sleeves, cannot show stomach area and cannot be see-through.

- Once you enter the visitation area – you are not permitted to leave and return. If you leave the visitation area, your visit is over.
YOU ENTER THE VISITATION AREA – YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO LEAVE AND RETURN. IF YOU LEAVE THE VISITATION AREA, YOUR VISIT IS OVER.
- Visitors can leave money in the Inmate's canteen account by using the kiosk located in the lobby. The kiosk will accept cash, credit cards or debit cards. Money orders are no longer accepted.
