Hillsborough County NH Department of Corrections basic information to help guide you through what you can do for your inmate while they are incarcerated. The facility's direct contact number: 603-627-5620
This facility is for adult inmates.
The Hillsborough County NH Department of Corrections is a medium-security detention center located at 445 Willow St Manchester, NH which is operated locally by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Hillsborough County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Manchester Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.
Money Orders– All money orders will be removed from inmate mail and deposited on the inmate’s commissary account. Money orders must be filled out and signed by the purchaser or will be considered contraband and not accepted for deposit.
The HCDOC contracted the services of a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and began this twelve-week in-house treatment program in March 2006. The program focuses on cognitive behavior skills and relapse prevention.
This program allows non-violent, minimum-security offenders the opportunity for gainful employment outside of the correctional facility. It instills a sense of personal responsibility and work ethic, and helps to reduce the recidivism rate by releasing an individual back to the community with job skills and experience that they might not receive otherwise. Additionally, it allows inmates the opportunity to provide for their families outside of the facility, while they complete their periods of incarceration.
PROGRAMS: GED
This program allows inmates the opportunity to study and test for a General Education Diploma (GED)
