The Howard County MO Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 100 N Mulberry St Fayette, MO which is operated locally by the Howard County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Howard County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Fayette Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

Howard County MO Jail – Visitation

Each inmate will be allowed one visit per visiting day. Visits will be limited to thirty minutes in length but may be shortened due to visiting needs. Only one visit allowed no matter whether the inmate takes the full thirty minutes or not. Circumstances in the operation of the Detention Facility may shorten or cancel visitation. Visitors must produce positive identification. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
