The inmates housed at IL DOC – East Moline Work Camp located at 100 Hillcrest Road in East Moline, IL are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.

About IL DOC – East Moline Work Camp:

East Moline Work Camp is a minimum security adult male correctional facility. It is located in northwest Illinois overlooking the Mississippi River. The facility is on the grounds of East Moline Correctional Center, which was converted from a mental health facility in 1980. The facility consists of a total of 26 buildings, which comprise of more than 430,000 square feet, and sits on more than 80 acres with 60 acres being enclosed by fencing.

visitation Info

8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. seven (7) days a week. Offenders are permitted five (5) visits per month, with no more than two (2) on weekends or holidays.

​​​​Visitors to any correctional facility will be required to produce photo identification and verification of date of birth. Please be sure to bring 2 forms of identification with you these would include a current photo ID such as a driver’s license, a state ID card, government ID card, military ID/driver’s license, or acceptable documentation of non-U.S. citizenship including a current Passport, or Visa, documentation must contain the visitor’s date of birth. Expired forms of identification will not be accepted. Visitors will also be required to provide vehicle information and other pertinent data, such as government identification, official credentials, attorney registration, and or law student certification.
