Roberts Rivarde Juvenile Detention is a medium to low-security detention center located at 1550 Gretna Blvd | PO Box 1240 Harvey, LA that is operated locally by the Juvenile Justice Department and holds youths awaiting the determination of punishment for the crimes which they are accused. Most of the adolescents are here for less than two years.

L. Robert Rivarde Memorial Home

  • The L. Robert Rivarde Memorial Home is the juvenile detention facility for Jefferson Parish and is administered by the Department of Juvenile Services.
  • This 52 bed facility provides temporary secure custody for pretrial detainees and adjudicated offenders (adolescents who have been found to have committed delinquent acts) who have been committed to the Department of Public Safety and Corrections.
  • The Jefferson Parish Department of Juvenile Services provides a high level of secure custody, humane treatment, appropriate health care and concern for the overall well being of detained youth.
