The Laurens County SC Detention Center is a medium-security detention center located at 154 Templeton Rd Laurens, SC which is operated locally by the Laurens County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Laurens County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Laurens Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

The Detention Services Division protects the public by securely detaining individuals who have been arrested and accused of committing various offenses. The goal of The Johnson Detention Center is to ethically and legally provide a secure, sanitary and safe place of pre-trial incarceration. Our goals include operating the Detention Center in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible while ensuring inmates receive humane, respectful and professional treatment from detention personnel.
