The Lee County TX Law Enforcement Center is a medium-security detention center located at 2122 FM 448
Giddings, TX which is operated locally by the Lee County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Lee County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Giddings Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.
WRITING AN INMATE – When corresponding with an inmate in jail, you must have your return address on the envelope. Address the envelope as follows:

The following items will NOT be allowed by mail or delivery:
- No envelopes or stamps
- No pens, pencils or paper
- No books (unless sent directly from distributor or bookstore, softcover only)
- No magazines or newspapers
- No Polaroid pictures
- No cash money of any kind (money orders will be accepted and deposited in the inmate's funds)
- No clothing of any kind
- No tobacco of any kind
- No personal hygiene products
COMMISSARY – Lee County Jail has a large commissary selection through Lone Star Commissary, Huntsville, TX. Inmates are allowed to purchase items out of commissary once a week, on Monday with the delivery of commissary on Thursday. Inmates that are indigent are given personal hygiene items, paper, pencil, envelopes and stamps weekly. Money orders must be received before 10:00 a.m. on Monday for Thursday's commissary. Inmates are allowed to purchase phone cards from the commissary or you may call Customer Service 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at (800) 483-8314 to buy phone minutes.

Inmates are limited to two (2) twenty (20) minute visits per week.
MALE INMATE VISITATION
- Wednesday: 1:00 p.m. 1:30 p.m. 2:00 p.m. 2:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 1:00 p.m. 1:30 p.m. 2:00 p.m. 2:30 p.m.
FEMALE INMATE VISITATION
- Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. 9:30 a.m. 10:00 a.m. 10:30 a.m.
- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. 9:30 a.m. 10:00 a.m. 10:30 a.m.
Lee County Inmates are required to fill out a visitation list prior to being housed in general population. Inmates may designate up to five (5) individuals, including minors as unofficial visitors. Only persons the inmate has on his/her list may visit that inmate.
When visiting, you must have in your possession a current driver's license with photo, state-issued photo I.D. card, Military I.D. or Passport. No visitor will be allowed without an acceptable photo I.D.
No one under 17 years of age will be allowed in the facility except with a guardian.
No one is permitted in the visitation area with purses, coats, cell phones, cameras, any recording type device or packages of any kind. All items other then your identifications and keys should be locked in your vehicle. All visitors can and may be searched.
Proper conduct by all visitors and inmates is expected. Improper conduct will result in termination of the visit. Individuals who have indications of alcohol or drug use will not be allowed to visit, and a deputy will be contacted.
The administration reserves the right to deny visitation to persons deemed to be improperly dressed or suspected of carrying contraband.
Only three (3) designated visitors, including infants and children from the inmates' lists, may visit at any single visit. Visitation is limited to 20 minutes.
