The Marengo County Detention Center is a medium-security detention center located at 101 Dunn St Linden, AL which is operated locally by the Marengo County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Marengo County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Linden Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.
Inmate Visitation
An inmate can have up to five visitors each visitation day. Male visitation is Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m. Female visitation is Wednesday from 9:00 a.m until 11:00 a.m and 1:00 p.m until 3:00 p.m. All visitors must sign the visitation register 30 minutes before visitation begins.
