MN DOC – Minnesota Correctional Facility – MCF Lino Lakes basic information to help guide you through what you can do for your inmate while they are incarcerated. The facility's direct contact number: 651-717-6100

This facility is for adult inmates.

The inmates housed at MCF Lino Lakes located at 7525 4th Ave in Lino Lakes, MN are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.

MN DOC – Minnesota Correctional Facility – Lino Lakes – Friends & Family Handbook

MCF-Lino Lakes consists of medium-security and a minimum-security unit with a population of 1,300 adult males. This facility has the highest concentration of educational and treatment programs. In many cases, offenders serve the final phase of their sentence at Lino Lakes so they can obtain the services they need to prepare for release.

Notable features include:

Chemical dependency programming is provided in TRIAD, a 293-bed therapeutic community, along with Serenity West with 60 beds.

Lino Lakes is also the site of the department's Sex Offender Treatment Program, which can house 270 offenders. Research suggests that participants in the program commit new offenses at a significantly lower rate than untreated offenders.

Lino Lakes is also the site of a Prison Fellowship Academy, a faith-based program funded and operated by Prison Fellowship through a partnership with the corrections department.

The facility opened in 1963 and originally served as a juvenile facility. In 1978, Lino Lakes was remodeled and converted to an adult facility.
