The Monroe County KY Correctional Center is a medium-security detention center located at 204 North Crawford St Tompkinsville, KY which is operated locally by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Monroe County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Tompkinsville Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

VISITATION – Inmates have two visits per week. Visiting hours are as follows: (County Inmates) Wednesday 2pm-4pm and Saturday 2pm–4pm (15 mins) (State Inmates) Tuesday 2pm–4pm and Friday 2pm–4pm (30 mins)
