This facility is for juvenile residents.

Mount View Detained School is one of many structured educational settings within the correction facility. The detained school is affiliated with Jeffco Schools with Highly Qualified teachers for science, social studies, language arts, math, and special education. Teachers follow the CAP document. Within each classroom, the specific content teacher has several different subject areas in typically grades 6-12.

All students completing 2 days of school or more with Mount View School will have a withdrawal grade calculated and forwarded within 0 days of release. These grades are forwarded to the home school or next placement if known. Jeffco students will have the withdrawal grades forwarded to their school counselor

If the Mount View student has primary enrollment status at another Jeffco School, is he/she allowed to complete work from their primary school while at Mount View?

Most definitely. We encourage providing the most relevant work to prevent the student from falling behind in his/her education.

Visitation for state juvenile facilities is limited to immediate family only. Mother, father, sisters, and brothers are acceptable. The visitation rules are very strict, we suggest reaching out to the staff to get their specific limitations.
