This facility is for adult inmates.

The Navarro County TX Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 312 West 2nd Ave Corsicana, TX which is operated locally by the Navarro County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Navarro County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Corsicana Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

Inmate Phone Service

During the booking process, an inmate can make three free local calls. Please understand that most cell phones are not considered local. This phone is available for inmates to make calls to arrange bail, inform the family of their circumstances or to reach an attorney. Booking phones can make collect calls outside of the local dialing area.

All calls are subject to monitoring and/or recording.

The Navarro County Sheriff’s Office reserves the right to block phone numbers upon the owner's request due to harassing phone calls, misuse of the phone system (i.e. three-way calling), discussion of criminal activity, or based upon the security and safety of the facility. Any attempt to provide three-way connections will result in permanent deactivation of the called number attempting to facilitate the three-way connection.

Once an inmate reaches population they can only make collect calls between 8 A.M – 10 P.M on weekdays and 8 A.M. – 11:00 P.M. on weekends. When an inmate calls you collect you are responsible for the collect call fee or if the inmate has purchased phone time, the inmate is responsible for the fee. Detention Officers are not allowed to pass messages to inmates either written or verbal for any reason. Any correspondence must be mailed to the inmate.

Inmate Commissary

Commissary orders are processed on Tuesday’s at 12 pm; orders are delivered on Thursday’s. Funds must be placed on the inmate’s account by 12 pm on Tuesday in order for inmates to receive store.

Funds can be applied by money order must be mailed in, made payable to “Inmate Trust Fund”

Inmate Visitation

Visitation is conducted at the Navarro County Detention Center (7) seven days a week between the hours of 9am-11am, 1pm-3pm and 6pm-10pm, excluding inmates that are temporarily housed in the holding cells. Inmates that are housed in population will receive (2) two visits per week, (30) thirty minutes per visit. Inmates that are housed in the holding cells will receive (3) three visits, (30) thirty minutes per visit, while in the holding cells. Call before you come to ensure that the inmate you want to see hasn’t already had a visit and to ensure that the day you want to visit is the correct day for the inmate to have a visit.

Cell phones are prohibited inside the Detention Center Lobby and during the visitation. All visits are subject to monitoring and/or recording, excluding Attorney visits. No person under the age of 17 years old may visit without being accompanied by a legal guardian. Valid state or government issued identification is required to enter the visitation area in order to have a visit. Persons under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will not be permitted.

Dress Code

Shirt and shoes must be worn at all times.

No spaghetti straps, tank tops, tube tops, or sleeveless shirts.

No short-shorts or mini-skirts. Undergarments must be completely concealed.

No profane, sexually explicit, or derogatory language on clothing.

Failure to follow the directions of staff or to comply with the above requirements could result in the termination of your visit and loss of future visiting privileges and refusal to leave the facility after being asked by an Officer could result in your arrest for Criminal Trespass.

Attorney Visitation

Attorneys are authorized to enter the Navarro County Detention Center to visit their clients. Attorney visits may be face to face or conducted via video visitation. Any other accommodations may be made with the authorization of Jail administration. Attorneys may only visit current clients and with business pertaining to the current incarceration.

Attorneys must show a valid government-issued identification card and a valid Bar Card. Attorneys will not be granted access if their Bar Card is not up-to-date.

Attorneys are not permitted inside the facility during the hours of 11am-1pm and 4pm-6pm daily, as this is feeding time for the inmates.
