The inmates housed at NH DOC – State Prison for Women (NHCFW) located at 317 Mast Road in Goffstown, NH are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.

The New Hampshire Correctional Facility for Women (NHCFW), located in the town of Goffstown,houses primarily minimum, medium, and close custody state-sentenced female inmates.
As an outcome of the Department’s collaborative effort at the women’s prison,significant progress has been made toward expanding opportunities and services within the constraints of the existing facility. NHCFW offers a variety of programming, including high school courses, HiSet preparation, mental health classes, substance abuse recovery, and parenting. Of great significance, the NH legislature approved a capital budget request to build a new facility for state-sentenced women, which will provide the necessary space for programming, treatment and training to address the complex needs of the female inmate population.
New Hampshire State Prison for Women is located in Goffstown. Ithouses minimum, medium, maximum and close custody females who have been sentenced by the state to serve a prison sentence. The current capacity of this facility is 105 inmates.
While incarcerated here inmates can take High school classes, and earn a GED. Additionally, offenders can receive substance abuse and mental health treatments. Parenting courses help teach offenders the importance parenthood.
