North Piedmont Correctional Center basic information to help guide you through what you can do for your inmate while they are incarcerated. The facility's direct contact number: 336-242-1259

This facility is for adult inmates.

The North Piedmont Correctional Center is a regional prison located at 1420 Raleigh Rd in Lexington, NC in Davidson County. This medium-to-high security prison is operated by the North Carolina Department of Corrections in conjunction with local law enforcement from surrounding counties like Davidson County Sheriff to hold inmates who have been convicted to and sentenced for a crime in this region of North Carolina.

The inmates housed at the North Carolina are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the length of their sentence and the past criminal history). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. North Carolina's mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.

N Piedmont Correctional has facilities onsite to meet most of the inmate's needs, including dietary, health, fitness, education, religious practices, entertainment, and many others. Most regional prisons are kept in top condition as they are constantly subjected to rigorous inspections and would like to keep a clean record to maintain government contracts.
