NYSDOC – Cayuga Correctional Facility basic information to help guide you through what you can do for your inmate while they are incarcerated. The facility's direct contact number: 315-497-1110

This facility is for adult inmates.

The inmates housed at Cayuga Correctional Facility located at 2202 State Route 38A in Moravia, NY are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.

The Cayuga Correctional Facility is a medium-security state prison for men located in Moravia, Cayuga County, New York, owned and operated by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. The facility has a working capacity of about 1100 inmates. The prison consists of several general population units, a special housing unit, and S-Block unit.

Cayuga Correctional Facility offers inmates vocational training in business, flooring, electrical, masonry, horticulture, building and custodial maintenance, and painting. Offenders can also receive alcohol and substance abuse treatment and participate in Alcoholics Anonymous group sessions. While incarcerated at Cayuga CF inmates can take adult basic education courses and earn a GED.
