NYSDOC – Livingston Correctional Facility basic information to help guide you through what you can do for your inmate while they are incarcerated. The facility's direct contact number: 585-658-3710

This facility is for adult inmates.

The inmates housed at Livingston Correctional Facility located at 7005 Sonyea Rd in Sonyea, NY are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.

Livingston Correctional Facility is a medium security state prison for male inmates located in Sonyea, Livingston County, New York. The facility is owned and operated by the New York State Department of Corrections. Livingston CF was opened in 1991, holds 881 adult male inmates at the medium security level, and is immediately adjacent to the state's Groveland Correctional Facility.

All inmates without a high school diploma or GED equivalent must attend courses and attempt to graduate.

While incarcerated at Livingston Correctional Facility inmates can receive substance abuse treatment services. Inmates may also get vocational training in horticulture, flooring, custodial and building maintenance, small engine repair, and upholstery.
