NYSDOC – Orleans Correctional Facility basic information to help guide you through what you can do for your inmate while they are incarcerated. The facility's direct contact number: 585-589-6820

This facility is for adult inmates.

The inmates housed at Orleans Correctional Facility located at 3531 Gaines Basin Rd in Albion, NY are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.

The Orleans Correctional Facility is a state prison in New York, United States. OCF is a medium security prison for males and is located in the Town of Albion, Orleans County in Western New York. It is located near the Albion Correctional Facility.

Orleans CF's capacity is 1,082 inmates. Orleans Correctional Facility is also responsible for a 120 offender re-entry program that prepares an inmate for their upcoming release date. Additionally, this facility operates an alcohol and substance abuse treatment program.

While serving a sentence at Orleans CF, inmates can participate in vocational training in carpentry, custodial maintenance, electrical, painting, business, and small engine repair. These vocational classes give the inmates skills they can use to obtain a job upon release and re-entry to become productive members of society.
