OK DOC – Lawton Community Corrections Center (LCCC) basic information to help guide you through what you can do for your inmate while they are incarcerated. The facility's direct contact number: 580-248-6703

This facility is for adult inmates.

The inmates housed at Lawton Community Corrections located at 605 SW Coombs Rd in Lawton, OK are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.

Lawton Community Corrections Center (LCCC), an all-male state prison facility, operated by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections located in the southwestern portion of Lawton, OK incarcerating more than 2,500 medium custody inmates. Offenders housed here can take adult basic education courses, and earn a GED during their incarceration. Additional programs offer inmates substance abuse treatment and life skills courses.

LCCC, like the agency’s other community corrections centers, opened as the agency was attempting to create a much smoother transition for the inmates returning to the community. Statistical data supported the presumption that inmates who were released with meaningful employment, adequate transportation, a home, and pro-social associates were less likely to re-offend as opposed to those who did not. The facility was established with the goal of providing the inmates with a steady gradual reentry process to address those issues that would carry over to release/discharge.

Lawton Correctional Facility offers vocational training in culinary arts, computers, cabinetry and carpentry. Inmates can attend various religious worship services and receive counseling through the Chaplain's office.
