The Oklahoma County Juvenile Detention Center is within the jurisdiction of the Oklahoma County Juvenile Justice System located at 5905 N Classen Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK.
Detention centers are for youth who are detained under specific circumstances set by Oklahoma statute. They hold youth that are awaiting court dates or placement in a residential facility.
The facility provides supervision of youth in a safe, secure and humane environment. Services for youth include education, mental health, substance abuse, and health care. Medical and mental health are contracted services. Educational services are funded by the Department of Education through local school districts.
A typical day in secure detention would involve hygiene, meals, school, structured physical and educational activities, and court appearance as scheduled. The average length of stay in secure detention is approximately 10 days.

Oklahoma County Juvenile Detention Center – Visitation
Juvenile Parent visitations are scheduled Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All visits are for a maximum of 30 minutes, with a limit of 2 visitors (parents and/or guardians, over the age of 21 years, and not a participant in the reason the juvenile is detained).
Weekend Visits Require an Appointment
All weekend visits are by appointment only. Call 405-713-6491 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. through Noon on Fridays.
Special D-Unit Visitation
Special Visitation for D-Unit is Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. It is first come, first serve.
