This facility is for adult inmates.

The inmates housed at Eastern Oregon Correctional located at 2500 Westgate in Pendleton, OR are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.

The EOCI is a medium-security state prison is comprised of 19 housing units that currently holds around 1,700 adult inmates. There are 596 inmates held in a dormitory-style setting, 897 inmates are held in multi-occupancy cells and 99 inmates can be held in single cells which are used for disciplinary segregation. Blue Mountain Community College provides academic education to inmates at this prison and helps inmates earn a GED during their incarceration. EOCI participates in the Oregon Corrections Enterprise Industries employing inmates in a customer service center, an embroidery shop, a laundry operation and a garment factory that is responsible for manufacturing 'Prison Blues' that are sold internationally. Inmates at this prison can receive certification in master clock repair, as a hospice caregiver, electrical wiring, refrigerant certification, HVAC, and SAE automotive certification.

Visiting Hours:

Visiting is permitted on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

• Morning Session: 8:30 – 11:15 a.m.
• Afternoon Session: 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

There is NO VISITING on Monday or Tuesday.
