The Orange County FL Work Release Center is a medium-security detention center located at Orange County Corrections Department
PO Box 4970 Orlando, FL which is operated locally by the Orange County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Orange County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Orlando Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

The Work Release Center provides dormitory style housing for up to 308 inmates working in the community. These inmates serve their sentences as tax-paying citizens earning an income to support their families, pay victim restitution and other court-ordered fees.

1. How much do I have to pay to be in the program?

• Subsistence is $50.05 per week.

2. Can I keep my job I had before incarceration?

• Work Release Vocational Placement Staff does a Job analysis on all new jobs. If your job meets the Work Release criteria for employment, yes you can maintain your pre-incarceration employment.

3. Does Work Release provide transportation to my place of employment?

• No, you will have to utilize public transportation, your employer, co-workers or family to transport you to and from work.

4. Can my family visit me while I am in Work Release?

• Yes the inmate can have visits during the designated visitation hours.

5. Can I get pre-approved for the program prior to going to court?

• Yes pre-screening is available. Call Central Intake at 407-836-3000 for days and times
