The Pierce County Jail – North Central Correctional Center & Rehabilitation Center is a medium-security detention center located at 110 Industrial Pk Rd Rugby, ND which is operated locally by the Pierce County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Pierce County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Rugby Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

The North Central Correctional Center & Rehabilitation Center was funded by income the building will generate. Designed for a 100% expansion for future growth, the center can hold Federal, State, and County inmates. Included inside are 96 inmate hardcells, 14 inmate holding cells, 230 total beds (expandable to 600), video visitation, video court room, municipal courtroom, judge chambers, and a food service kitchen totaling 83,000 square feet. Within the cell areas are chrome benches and seats, with white walls, black stairways and doors, and combination lighting on the ceilings.
