The Saginaw County MI Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 208 S Harrison St Saginaw, MI which is operated locally by the Saginaw County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Saginaw County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Saginaw Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

Money orders can be dropped off in the red deposit box located at the jail intake ramp or mailed to the jail, addressed to "Inmate Trust Account Administrator". Make sure you list the inmate's name and IB number if known in the memo section.

The Saginaw County Sheriff's Office, is a full service organization located at 618 Cass Street, Saginaw, MI 48602. This location includes the Law Enforcement Division: Road Patrol, Detective Bureau, Records Bureau and the Corrections Division: Jail Transport, Plus Office and the County Jail.
The Road Patrol and Detective Bureau serve a population of approximately 200,000 citizens. The total area covered in the county includes 810 square miles. The Saginaw County Jail houses 513 inmates on a daily basis.
The Sheriff's Office has contracts with MBS Airport, Juvenile Courts, Saginaw County Health Department, Jonesfield Township and the Village of Merrill. The Sheriff's Office also provides security for the Saginaw County Courthouse and has transport units that escort inmates throughout the court system and the state. Five full-time employees serve the public with records, gun checks and civil process.

VISITATION: A. All inmates will be allowed one (1) hour of non-contact on-site visits each week. Remote visit is offered to all inmates on a first come; first served basis and are limited to 20 minutes each session, unless back to back visits are scheduled for a total duration of 40 minutes.
Remote Visits are unlimited as long as there are sessions available for that inmate.
At Home – Remote Rules:
1. All At Home – Remote video visitation sessions will be recorded and monitored.
2. Any misuse or abuse to the video visitation devices will result in termination of the visit and possible criminal/disciplinary action. The inmate and visitor must remain properly dressed. Tight fitting or provocative clothing is prohibited. No underclothing shall be exposed. NO NUDITY, NO PROVOCATIVE POSING and NO SEXUAL BEHAVIOR of any kind.
3. Inappropriate gestures, profanity, yelling, loud talking, excessive emotions or any type of disruptive behavior will not be permitted
4. Any problems with audio or video reception must be reported to the staff of Securus immediately.
5. The Saginaw County Sheriff’s Office reserves the right to cancel any visitation time if it is in the best interest of the security of the facility

9. Each visitor must check in 15 minutes prior to the scheduled on-site visit. Visitors arriving late will only receive the balance of the remaining visiting time or may not be allowed to visit, depending on the circumstances
10. Any problems with audio or video reception must be reported to staff immediately.
11. The Saginaw County Sheriff’s Office reserves the right to cancel any visitation time if it is in the best interest of the security of the facility.
12. No electronic devices to include cellular phones are permitted in the visitation area.
13. Children 14 years or younger are not permitted in the visitation area.
14. Children 15 – 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to visit.
15. No food or drinks are allowed in the visiting area.
16. Chairs are not permitted in the visiting area unless authorized by a Jail Sergeant for medical reasons.
17. Visitors are not allowed to loiter in the visiting area.
18. Only two visitors are permitted to visit during the session.
19. No weapons or illegal substances are permitted and violators will be prosecuted.
20. Visitors must follow visitation rules and must follow all directions given by a Corrections Officer pertaining to the visit.
21. Minors not allowed in the visitation will not be left unattended on or near Saginaw County property.

General Rules:
Participation in video-visitation is a privilege, not a right. Both visitor and inmate are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate fashion at all times during a visit. The Saginaw County Sheriff’s Office reserves the right to deny, cancel or terminate a video visit prior to or during a video session based upon visitor or resident inmate misconduct. Saginaw County Jail also reserves the right to restrict visitor from participating in all future use of the system. All visits are recorded and subject to electronic monitoring by Saginaw County Sheriff’s Office personnel. Your use of this video visitation system constitutes consent to this recording and monitoring.
